Detailed Itinerary

Day 01:

Arrival in Kathmandu and meet with our representative at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Welcome drink and short briefing about Baruntse Peak Expedition.

Overnight in Hotel - 1400 meter


Day 02:

Paper work, gear preparation and more briefing about the trip.

Overnight in Hotel – 1400 meters


Day 03:

Drive to Ramechhap 4 Hour and Fly to Lukla 20 minutes and Trek to Paiya.

Overnight in Lodge – 2730 meters

 

Day 04:

Trek to Pangom from Paiya

Overnight in Lodge – 2864 meters
 


Day 05:

Trek to Nagindingma from Pangom.

Overnight in Lodge – 2650 meters



Day 06:

Trek to Khola Kharka from Nagindingma.

Overnight in Lodge - 3930 meters

 

Day 07:

Trek to Kothe from Khola Kharka for few hours.

Overnight in Lodge – 3691 meters



Day 08:

Trek to Thaknak from Kothe.

Overnight in Lodge - 4358 meters
 


Day 09-10:

Trek to Khare from Thaknak for 3 hours maximum and acclimatize for one more day in Khare.

Overnight in Lodge - 5045 meters

 

Day 11:

Trek to Kongma Dingma

Overnight in Lodge – 5200 meters

 

Day 12:

Trek to Seto Pokhari

Overnight in Lodge - 5053 meters

 

Day 13:

Trek to Base Camp

Overnight in Tent – 5400 meters

 

Day 14-28:

We will try to climb the Baruntse peak with proper acclimatization and training. We will set up our Camp 1 at 6100 meters and Camp 2 at 6400 meters. From camp 2 we have to climb ice wall which is very steep of 75 degree to reah small col at 6500 meters. We will have a look of Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Mera and Nuptse.

Trek to Amphu lapcha Base Camp

Day 30:

Trek to Chukung via Amphu Lapcha Pass

Overnight in Lodge – 5845 meters

 

Day 31:

Trek to Namche Bazar

Overnight in Lodge - 3440 meters
 


Day 32:

Trek to Lukla

Overnight in Lodge -2610 meters

 

Day 33:

Fly to Kathmandu

Overnight in Hotel – 1400 meters


Day 34:

Extra Day in Kathmandu and sight-seeing.

Day 35:

After Breakfast Final Departure to International Airport

Include

Our Baruntse Expedition Package Includes:


1. All airport and hotel transfer domestic and international.
2. 4 nights' accommodation at 3-4-star hotel with breakfast in Kathmandu.

3. Domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and Back.


4. Kathmandu city sightseeing tour as per the above itinerary and entrance fees.


5. Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with Tea & coffee and hot/cold filter water during the trek, base camp and all other places than Kathmandu.


6. Lodge during trek and tented accommodation during climbing period on sharing basis. We will have a well settled base camp service in Baruntse Base Camp.


7. Climbing and trekking guide during the trek.

8.  Cook, helper, porters and their food & accommodation, salary, equipment’s & insurance for high camp services.


9. Camping Equipment’s, Tents, Kitchen Utensils and Mattresses with high foods.

10. 1 Duffle Bag, Radio Set, Satellite Phone, Map, Weather Report, Heater, Solar or Generator in High Camp for charging mobile, laptop etc.


11. Climbing permit of Baruntse Mountain, National park fees, Rural Municipality Fees.

12. Waste, members stool and garbage management fees and all necessary permits.

14. Government Liaison officer fees.

13. Training of using gears, rope and other important knowledge and sharing experience of the expedition.


14. First Aid Medical Kit box, frequent medical checkup and necessary emergency equipment’s.


15. Office Service charge and Certificates.

Exclude

Our Climbing Package Cost doesn't include:


1. Any meals (Lunch and Dinner) in Kathmandu except breakfast in hotel.


2. Travel insurance that should cover your accidental, medical and emergency rescue evacuation in case of worst case.


3. International air fare to and from Nepal.


4. Nepal Tourist Visa fees.


5. Items and expenses of personal nature like beer, Any kind of alcoholic drinks, cold drinks, snacks, laundry, phone call, internet.


6. Personal Trekking and climbing Equipment’s needed for climbing. We recommend you to check all gears before heading to expedition in Kathmandu. Our guide will help you in organizing gears.


7. Emergency Evacuation (Helicopter Rescue).


8. Any costs which arise due to a change of the itinerary, because of landslides, domestic flight delays, political disturbance, and strikes etc.

9. Summit Bonus to Climbing Sherpa of minimum 800 USD and 250 USD to base camp staffs.


10. Any other costs whatsoever, that is not mentioned in the cost included.


11. Horse renting and porters during the trek.


12. Tips for guide, porters, driver, cooks and other staff.

Gear and Clothing Checklist for 7000-Meter Peaks

Preparing for a 7000-meter mountain requires careful planning and the right gear to ensure safety and comfort in extreme conditions. Here’s a straightforward checklist to guide you:

Clothing

  • Base Layers: Moisture-wicking thermal tops and bottoms to keep you dry and warm.
  • Mid Layers: A fleece or insulated jacket for added warmth.
  • Outer Layers: Waterproof and windproof shell jacket and pants (GORE-TEX recommended).
  • Down Jacket: A high-quality, 800+ fill down jacket is a must for extreme cold.
  • Insulated Pants: Down or synthetic for high-altitude use.
  • Gloves and Mittens: Thin liners, insulated gloves, and heavy mittens for summit day.
  • Headwear: A fleece hat, balaclava, and neck gaiter for warmth.
  • Footwear: Double or triple-layer mountaineering boots, warm socks (merino wool), and gaiters if needed.

Climbing Gear

  • A reliable climbing harness and helmet.
  • Ice axe and crampons (make sure they fit your boots).
  • Ascender (Jumar), belay device, and carabiners (both locking and non-locking).
  • Slings, webbing, and Prusik cords for rope work.

Camping Gear

  • A sleeping bag rated for -20°C to -30°C temperatures.
  • An insulated sleeping pad for comfort and warmth.
  • A sturdy expedition tent provided by guide.

Backpacks

  • A large expedition pack (70–90L) for carrying gear.
  • A smaller daypack (30–40L) for acclimatization hikes and shorter climbs.

Hydration and Nutrition

  • Insulated water bottles (2-3 liters) and a thermos for summit day.
  • Water purification tablets or a filter.
