Overview

The Manaslu Circuit Trek offers a breathtaking journey around the world’s eighth-highest peak, Mount Manaslu (8,163 m). This challenging yet rewarding trail takes trekkers through pristine landscapes, traditional Tibetan-style villages, and lush valleys, culminating in the high-altitude Larkya La Pass (5,106 m). Known for its off-the-beaten-path allure, the trek provides an unparalleled blend of natural beauty and cultural immersion. With diverse flora and fauna protected by the Manaslu Conservation Area, this trek is a perfect choice for adventurers seeking serenity and authenticity in Nepal’s Himalayas.

 

Our normal trekking hours in Manaslu is 6-8 hours per day.

Detailed Itinerary

 

Day 01:

Arrival in Kathmandu and meet with our representative at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Welcome drink and short briefing about trek.

Overnight in Hotel - 1400 meters

 


Day 02:

Paper work, gear preparation and more briefing about the trip and sightseeing.

Overnight in Hotel – 1400 meters
 


Day 03:

Drive to Arughat by private 4x4 for 5-6 hours

Overnight in Lodge – 570 meters
 


Day 04:

Trek to Lapubesi following Gurung and Magar villages

Overnight in Lodge – 880 meters



Day 05:

Trek to Khorlabesi.

Overnight in Lodge - 930 meters

 


Day 06:

Trek to Jagat.

Overnight in Lodge – 1340 meters



Day 07:

Trek to Deng.

Overnight in Lodge - 1860 meters
 

Day 08:

Trek to Namrung for 6 hours.

Overnight in Lodge – 2630 meters


Day 9:

Trek to Samagaon

Overnight in Lodge – 3520 meters


Day 10:

Acclimatization Day plus we will hike upto Manaslu Base Camp at 4400 meters and back which will be around 6 to 7 hours hike.

Overnight in Tea House: 3520 meters



Day 11:

Trek to Samdo.

Overnight in Tea House: 3875 meters

 

Day 12:

Trek to Dharmasala which will be short trek of 3-4 hours.

Overnight in Hotel – 4460 meters


Day 13:

Trek to Bimtang via Larkya-La Pass of 5160meters. This is one of the most important day of the trek since we will cross the pass and also it will be really long day of trekking.

Overnight in Lodge – 3590 meters
 


Day 14:

Trek to Dharapani from Bimtang for around 8 hours.

Overnight in Lodge - 1860 meters

 


Day 15:

Trek to Syange

Overnight in Lodge – 1100 meters

 

Day 16:

Drive to Kathmandu via Besishahar which will be around 7 hours.

Overnight in Hotel – 1400 meters

 

Day 17:

Final Departure from Kathmandu after breakfast
 

Include

Our Manaslu Circuit Trek Package Includes:


1. All airport and hotel transfer.


2. 3 nights' accommodation at 3-4-star hotel with breakfast in Kathmandu.

 

3. Private 4X4 to Arughat and Back.


4. Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with Tea & coffee and hot/cold filter water during the trek.


5. Experienced and English speaking one Trekking guide.

 

6. 1 Duffle Bag, Map, weather report and first aid kit are included.


12. All necessary trekking and conservation area permit.

Exclude

Our Trekking Package Cost doesn't include:


1. Any meals (Lunch and Dinner) in Kathmandu except breakfast in hotel.


2. Travel insurance that should cover your accidental, medical and emergency rescue evacuation in case of worst case.


3. International air fare to and from.


4. Nepal Tourist Visa fees.


5. Items and expenses of personal nature like beer, Any kind of alcoholic drinks, cold drinks, snacks, laundry, phone call, internet.


6. Personal Trekking equipment’s needed for trekking. We recommend you to check all gears before heading to trek in Kathmandu. Our guide will help you in organizing gears.


7. Emergency Evacuation (Helicopter Rescue).


8. Any costs which arise due to a change of the itinerary, because of landslides, domestic flight delays, political disturbance, and strikes etc.


9. Any other costs whatsoever, that is not mentioned in the cost included.


10. Horse renting and porters during the trek. Porters can be arranged on request which will cost extra for the trekker which is not included in the package.


11. Tips for guide, porters, driver and other staff.

Note: In case of emergency during the trip, Helicopter will be arranged by Himalayan Mountaineering Expeditions. The charges must be paid by the clients themselves.

Clothing

Base Layers

  • Thermal Tops (2–3): Lightweight and moisture-wicking.
  • Thermal Bottoms (1–2): For layering in colder weather.

Mid Layers

  • Fleece Jacket: Medium weight for warmth.
  • Insulated Jacket: Lightweight down or synthetic jacket for evenings.

Outer Layers

  • Waterproof Jacket: Windproof and waterproof (Gore-Tex or similar).
  • Waterproof Pants: Lightweight and packable.

Trekking Clothes

  • Trekking Shirts (3–4): Moisture-wicking; mix of long- and short-sleeve.
  • Softshell Jacket: Ideal for chilly mornings and moderate trekking days.

Headwear

  • Warm Hat: Fleece or wool for higher altitudes.
  • Buff or Neck Gaiter: Multipurpose for sun, wind, or dust protection.

Gloves

  • Liner Gloves: Lightweight for mild conditions.
  • Insulated Gloves: For colder areas and Larkya La Pass.

Footwear

  • Trekking Boots: Sturdy, waterproof, and well broken-in.
  • Camp Shoes or Sandals: Lightweight for evenings.
  • Wool Socks (4–5 pairs): Warm and moisture-wicking.
  • Liner Socks (optional): To prevent blisters.

Backpack

  • Daypack (30–40L): For daily essentials.
  • Duffel Bag: For gear carried by porters (if applicable).

Sleeping Gear

  • Sleeping Bag: -10°C to -15°C comfort rating (can rent locally).
  • Sleeping Bag Liner: For added warmth and hygiene.

Trekking Poles

  • Adjustable and lightweight poles for stability on steep or uneven terrain.
